I think it's going to take people a while to get over 'It doesn't feel like Star Wars' with all the movies we're going to be getting. while this would work well for many other movies Star Wars has always had so many different and so distinct and separate themes, so it just sounds not as vibrant and full of life as the other 7 movies. Where there is the weird ascending chords, I think there should've been the clear rebel fanfare when we see the rebellion base for the first time, but also agree when we see the u-wing take of that scene is done both visually and scored very well.ДЄnd yeah you have the clear krennic theme and the hope motif, but what I'm really saying is if you listen to the beginning of the track, Wobani labor camp, you hear the the only other theme besides the classic themes (which are underused) you take that I believe it is the Jyn theme technically, mess with the rhythm a bit and boom now you have the whills theme, mess with rhythm again and you have the master switch it's just all the same theme revamped multiple times, and krennics is used anytime we see the empire albeit a little reworked as well. I was talking more about when we sweep into yavin base. I'm on mobile so quotes would take forever but you should be able to figure out what I'm responding too.
